How to Appoint a Corporate Director [AP02] in CoSec App?

To notify Companies House about the appointment of a corporate director, the company must provide the following details about the corporate entity:

1. Name
2. Registered or principal office address
3. Country of registration and registration number
4. Name of the person completing the application on behalf of the corporate director
5. Indication of EEA status – Specify whether the corporate director is an EEA organisation or not
6. For non-EEA corporate directors, provide the legal form and governing law

This information must be submitted using form AP02.

To appoint a corporate director using CoSec, follow these steps:

• Navigate to the Entity where you want to appoint a corporate director.
• Go to the Officers page and click the "New" button.
• Select the Corporate Director as the role to generate the AP02 form.
  
  
• Enter the required details:
  1. If the corporate director is already listed in your entities, select it. This will auto-fill details such as entity name, entity number, and service address (modifiable if needed).
•  

          If the entity is not on your list, manually enter the details.

• Enable the "Consent to Act" option to authorise the submission on behalf of Companies House.
• Provide details of the individual representative acting on behalf of the corporate director, including:
  1. 1. Name
     2. Email
     3. Contact number
        
        
• Click "Save" to proceed to redirect the submission view of the form.
• Generating matching documents to Appoint a Director

          After filling out the new address details, click on the Generate button to view a list of documents required for the AP02 form.

 Select the desired documents and click Generate. You can also upload any additional required documents.

• Digital Signature (If required)
    Select the signers and send the document for digital signing.

            Track the document to see whether it got signed or not.

• Internal Approval                                                                                                                     If the form requires internal approval, set up the approval process and send it for review.
  Until the form is reviewed, it is unable to be submitted for the CH.
• Post Submission

 ·        Once submitted, Cosec will send you a confirmation.

· After Companies House accepts the form, you will receive an acknowledgment from Cosec confirming the successful submission.
